Latitude Longboards launches their new “Legacy” model

Jim-TonyThornton-latitudeBoston, MA: October 7 marked the official launch of Latitude Longboards, makers of heirloom quality hardwood longboard decks.

After over three years of prototyping and preparation, Latitude Longboards has introduced their flagship deck: the Legacy 38’’. Comprised of Oak, Ash, and American Walnut, the construction utilizes advanced CNC technology, which allows Latitude Longboards to produce decks of uncompromising quality and craftsmanship, as well as the flexibility to quickly produce new or customized designs.

The Legacy model is designed by co-founder and lifelong skater Jim Thornton, who brings over 35 years of longboard experience to the team. Jim, together with his son Tony Thornton, have the goal of collaborating with their customers to bring truly innovative and beautiful products to market, and to spread good vibes all along the way.

“We never wanted to make another cookie-cutter maple laminate longboard,” commented Tony. “So we went back to the drawing board and found a better way than the traditional glue-and-press construction. I am truly blown away by the results, and can’t wait to share them with the world!”

The Legacy Series will be available for pre-order on Indiegogo soon. Follow-up designs are already being prototyped, as well as some other top-secret stretch goals. More information, regular updates, and the chance to win a complete Latitude longboard can be found at
