Toronto, ON: Last weekend saw the Second Annual FUBU weekend. The All girls event had almost 40 girls come either participate, support their fellow lady shredders, or just straight up party. Check out what went down.
From the Skate invaders:
This years all-girls event once again composed of a Saturday cruise, an after party at Club 54 and an event-filled Sunday. Numbers wise, the event had almost 40 girls come either participate, support their fellow lady shredders, or just straight up party. Even though Christina, Aubrey and I were all hoping for numbers to almost double this year, we were stoked to know that two-thirds of the girls were non-returning FUBU participants. It definitely was cool to know that more and more ladies were getting to experience the joys of longboarding. What was even more cool was the amount of girls we got from out of the city. We had girls from Oakville, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, and even Ohio! The fact that they were willing to travel 1-5 hours to get to our event was truly spectacular. This year was definitely a chilly one with temperatures dipping into the negatives (32 F and lower for you Americans). Thank you to all the girls and guys who stuck it out to participate or volunteer to make the weekend truly spectacular.
