Wheel Shields | Avoid wheel bites and skate in the rain

After suffering a fall caused by yet another wheel bite, Chase Kaczmarek started brainstorming on how this could be avoided and improve safety for the skating community. Wheel Shields are his answer to the problem.

The patented devices attach to the end of the truck and are held in place by a keyed design that matches the shape of the nut. They create a physical barrier between the wheel and board that prevents the two from coming in contact and creating wheel bite. Not only would this prevent wheel bites but it would also act as a fender preventing filthy water being flung at you on rainy days.

They are still at the prototype phase right now but the plan is to manufacture them out of steel and make them available in many colours.

Wheel Shields needs your feedback.

Chase would like to  know what people think of his device. Wheel Shields can greatly improve safety in the longboard community and keep people from getting hurt ans he needs your feedback. Help him making in his endeavour to make a better product by filling teh form below.
