Peyragudes, Hautes-Pyrénées, France: The Bordeaux Longskate Club and Peyragudes Down Hill associations, are about to welcome one of the biggest extreme sports event of the year on the brand new road that drives you to the ski resort of Peyragudes, the resort of the future.
The riders of the world will be there to battle for the title of winner of the PEYRAGUDES NEVER DIES IGSA WORLD CUP, From 9 until 12 August 2012 at Peyragudes – Hautes Pyrénées (peyresourde slope)
With, over 230 riders from over 26 different countries, the Peyragudes Never Dies will be the toughest race of the season. They all will be there : Patrick Switzer 2012 world cup winner, Mischo Erban 2012 world champion and owner of the world speed record downhill skate boarding. But also most of the top 50 IGSA riders and pro riders from all major teams : sector 9, orangatang, seismic, original skate board, rayne, dtc, landyachtz, abec11, sick, etc…
The track built in 2010 and resurfaced especially for the race will allow top speed of 120KM/h for street lugers and over 100km/h for stand-up riders. The huge hairpins from this typical Pyrenean road will even challenge the most technical athlete.
