New York, NY: While most people at the Broadway Bomb were just there to chill, en elite few were actually racing. Follow Jeff -Wiggler- Vyain (13th) as he straps his camera under the hood and gives you a glimpse of racing on the intense NYC streets.
Only in New York City in October can you find 1000+ racers taking over one of the busiest streets in the world on longboards.
This is Jeff Vyain representing Bustin Boards, Surf-Rodz Trucks, Riptide Bushings, and of course, Kombucha Brooklyn baby! Riding a Bustin top-mount pump deck with Surf-Rodz INDeeSZ, Atobe wheels, Bustin bearings, and Riptide bushings. This board zigs zags around and rolls over just about everything and is super comfy even over some of the nastiest streets in the city.
Hopefully some of you will make it through all 13 minutes of this video. I wanted to really give the Bomb justice as a skateboard race. I placed 13th this year, despite a couple errors and a pretty bad wrong turn (I live in NYC, WTF?!). The race challenges your maneuverability, stamina, mental acuity, and overall trafficking skills for 8.5 miles down the busiest street in Manhattan. If you’re gunning for the win, you can’t make mistakes. If you’re out to just chill and have fun, you’re going to have one hell of a time doing that too. This year’s bomb was incredibly epic, from just the good times, friends made, and overall number of people living the dream here in NYC with us for a weekend. Hope to see you all next year!
Hope you enjoy! SHHHHRAPLIT!
